Our success
  • Our success has many causes, but the following factors are especially important:

Using in-house resources, we supply top level advices and assistance to Danish accounting, tax and company law matters. We pride ourselves in our rapid, well focused and technically accurate responses.

  • An independent network works best: it is more commonly recognised that suppliers of international tax services need not be part of a global accounting firm network. Many business managers understand that independent firms can demand better service from the tax departments of the large accounting firm networks throughout the world, than the other offices of the same accounting firm network can.

  • The general practitioner can't perform heart operations: tax has become so complicated that many areas of tax, including international related matters, can only be handled by specialists.

  • Smarter purchasing of services: purchasers of services have become more sophisticated. No longer do businesses automatically purchase all their tax services from their auditing firm. They purchase from the most competent supplier.

Are you an intermediary?

The intermediaries we work with include many of the top names in the banking, legal and accounting worlds.

Although we have our own clear standard procedures and fee structures, we are willing to go to great lengths to tailor them to suit you.

We are particularly conscious of your relationship with your client. If you wish to put your client directly in touch with us, we are always pleased to work with an agreed system whereby you are kept informed and your client is reminded that you are in charge. If, on the other hand, you prefer not to disclose to your client that you are using Sheltons Trust in Denmark, we are fully prepared to support you in achieving that.

We are also able to provide managed trust services.

Independent international network

We have a well-developed network of (international) tax advisors throughout the world - including the largest accounting and law firms, smaller firms, academics, tax office officials and others.

We instruct and work with any of the accounting, law or other firms throughout the world - and we are accustomed to top level service from these firms when engaging them on behalf of our clients.

In collaboration with our client or the client's existing accountants, tax advisers, or lawyers, we select the best foreign tax advisor for the particular matter.

Our network is informal. Our contacts are motivated to do their best and to meet our stringent demands. They are aware that we are not obliged to use them for tax consulting services (a situation which is not quite the same with the global accounting firms).

In expert hands

Ned Shelton is highly regarded for his skills in the area of structuring clients' corporate operations in a tax efficient manner.

This might include the re-organisation of interest flows throughout a group, or the selection of a holding company to own some or all the foreign operations, or the re-arrangement of the way real estate is owned - just to take some examples.

Such advice often results in the need for special entities, such as holding companies, licensing companies, trusts, foundations, etc. Ned Shelton's many years of experience in getting such entities in place is of benefit to many clients who appreciate assistance not only on the advice side, but also in respect of the implementation of such structures.
